
Deborah Jean Kristina, 69, of Clay City, Indiana passed away, unexpectedly, at her home on February 6, 2023.
Deborah was born on December 2, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Michael and Dolores Theresa (Roti) Alguire. She attended Bloom High School. Deborah married Frank Kristina who preceded her in death.
Deborah had the biggest green thumb and loved flower gardening and landscaping. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Deborah was the life of the party, had a contagious smile, never met a stranger, and made “world famous” meatballs. She loved her family dearly and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her everything.
She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Dolores Alguire, her husband Frank Kristina, a grandson Jeloni Richmond, and two brothers: Michael Alguire and Larry Alguire.
Survivors include her two daughters: Michelle Kristina and Denise Kristina (William Johnson); grandchildren: Geana Kristina (Harvey Pierson), Jordan Kristina (Vikki), Natania Whitfield, and Sophia Richmond; great-grandchildren: Daniel Kristina, Jason Kristina, Isabella Kristina, Micah Pierson, Mateo Kristina, Lucca Kristina, and Tilly Garcia; a brother James Alguire (Denise), and a sister Dawn Fry (George) as well as several extended family members and friends.
Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, in Clay City, has been entrusted with her care.
