Delores Marie, “Dee”, (Harlan) Hay, 70, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away early Tuesday morning February 28, 2023.  She was born in Terre Haute on April 19, 1952 to Charles Maurice Harlan and Carolyn (Stanley) Harlan.  Dee graduated from Honey Creek High School in 1970, Harold’s Beauty Academy in 1971, and Ivy Tech Business School in 1991.  She worked as a beautician for a short time, was married 13 years, held various other jobs, and worked at First Financial Bank in the Trust Department until her retirement in 2014.  She was a faithful member of Faith Outreach Family Church for almost 30 years. She loved the Lord Jesus, and her nieces and nephews, Sara, Emily, Rebecca, Elisabeth, Deborah, Danielle, Alicia, Charles, Gabriella, Mikel and Ashley, and also 23 great nieces and nephews. Dementia came upon her at too early an age, and when she needed more care she moved into Asbury Towers in Greencastle, IN. There she formed many friendships and was taken care of with love by many of the wonderful staff there. That is where she quietly passed away.  She was a wonderful sister, a favorite aunt, a sweet lady with a beautiful smile, and an unexpected sense of humor.  She loved movies and had a collection of over 700 DVD’s.  She also loved all different styles of music and books. She was preceded in her journey to Heaven by her parents.  She is survived by her siblings, Fred Harlan (June), Charlotte Lloyd (Marty), Linda Barrett (Dan), and Carl Harlan (Cindy).  She was loved and will be missed.  Funeral services will be held at Greiner Funeral Home on March 11 at 1 pm with visitation at 12pm until service time.  Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.  A celebration of life meal will follow at Faith Outreach Family Church, 3001 Wallace Ave., Terre Haute, Indiana and all are welcome.
