Air Evac called after car hits pedestrian

TERRE HAUTE – At approximately 9:21 p.m., Wednesday,  Sugar Creek Fire Department  responded to 375 W. National Ave., Terre Haute, on a reported car vs. pedestrian accident. Upon arrival SCFD located one male that had been struck by a car while attempting to cross the roadway. The male pedestrian sustained severe injuries to his left leg and was Airlifted to a Indianapolis Hospital. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

Vigo County Sheriffs Department, West Terre Haute Police Department, Indiana State Police, Trans Care Ambulance and Air Evac assisted..
