Stanley Hayes, 89 of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Union Hospital. He was born in Hazard, KY on November 3, 1933. Stanley was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a tank commander, and later went to work at Public Service Indiana and retired after 41 years of service and worked as an usher at Hulman Center. His memberships include St. George Episcopal Church and the Wabash Valley Tennis Association.
Stanley is survived by three children; Peggy Tierney, Kyle Hayes (Colleen), and Heath Hayes (Nicole). He is also survived by several grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Beeson Hayes. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. George Episcopal Church, 1337 N. Smith Place, West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM. In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
