Duke Energy reports 57,000 customers are currently without electricity in the greater Terre Haute area.

PLAINFIELD- The severe storms and high winds affecting our area have already caused extensive damage and widespread power outage across the state. As the storms weaken this evening, crews will begin making repairs and assessing damage where conditions allow. An unsettled weather pattern is forecast for the area over the next several days that could generate additional outage activity into the weekend. We greatly appreciate your patience while our crews begin the process of restoring service.
