William Joseph Pollitt, 90, of Riley Indiana, passed away June 27, 2023, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 4, 1933, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to George and Mildred (Kemp) Pollitt. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Honey Creek High School. He loved being apart of the Coffee Club. He restored old vehicles. William also enjoyed fishing, playing basketball for Honey Creek High School, racing cars and motorcycles, traveling to Florida as a Snow Bird, making animals etc out of PVC pipe, and drinking his coffee. He was an avid NASCAR and college basketball fan. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Christina Pollitt; his parents; and brothers Jim and Richard. William is survived by his daughters Cindy Cox (Wayne Bays) and Angie O’Neal (SteveHighsmith); grandchildren Heather Lange (Brandon), Craig O’Neal (Stevi), Connor O’Neal (Jodi), and Stevie Highsmith (Madi); great grandchildren Tristin, Isaiah, Daxton, Ayden, Olivia, Brianna,and Natalie; sister Sally Whitlock; and several nieces. Visitation will be on Friday, June 30, 2023, in Greiner Funeral Home, from 11:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday at 1:00p.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
