Stella Mae Schoffstall, 70, of West Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away July 27, 2023.  She was born November 3, 1952, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John Neice and Elizabeth (Archer) Neice.  Stella worked for the Vigo County School Corporation as an Educational Assistant.  She was the leader in her family.  She was the nicest person you could ever meet.  She loved everyone and accepted them for who they were.  She was preceded in death by her husband Roland Schoffstall, who passed almost 13 years ago to date; siblings Elizabeth Booker, Harvey Neice, and Johnny Neice; and sister-in-laws Susie Neice and Patty Niece. Stella is survived by her daughter Peggy Schoffstall (Donnica); siblings Jackie Niece and Nellie McMillen; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She held a special place in her heart for nephew Fred McMillen (Kelley) and his children Victoria McMillen and Andrew McMillen as well as her special friend Dusty Evinger. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice who took exceptional care of Stella in her final days including RN April Porter and Hospice Aide Marie Batchelor who quickly became a part of our family.  Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 4, 2023, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
