Judy Taylor

Judith Ann Taylor, 80, passed away December 26, 2023. Judy was born to the late Harry and Mary (Deming) Ross in Kingsville, Texas.

Judy graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s in nursing. She worked as a nurse at Clay County Hospital and Clay County Health Center. Later in her career, she found her true calling for psychiatric nursing. Judy was an animal lover, and was always willing to give a home to an animal in need. Judy was an avid reader, which grew her vocabulary exponentially. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, even if that meant opening up her home to someone in need, and she never expected anything in return.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Taylor, and a brother in law, Greg High.

Judy is survived by a son, David Taylor; daughters, Leslie Hayes (Richard) and Suzanne Taylor; grandchildren, Shannen (Matthew), Andrew, Elizabeth (Alex), Chase, Taylor, Bryce and Shelby; a great-granddaughter, Anzlee;one brother, Carl Ross (Patty), a sister, Mary Ross-High and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 30th from 11-1 at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tim Guoli will begin at 1 P.M.
