Mary Ann Wegner, 80, passed away March 7, 2024 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice. She was born in Terre Haute on February 6, 1944.

Mary Ann graduated from Cory High School in 1962. On October 7, 1967, she married Ralph “Ed” Wegner, who preceded her in death on July 29, 2003. Mary Ann worked cleaning homes for many years. She enjoyed cross-stitch, crocheting, coloring, and cross word puzzles. Mary Ann was a member of the Terre Haute Sewing Connection, and prior member of Gods Hand in Action where they made comfort bears to pass out to residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Almost any evening, you could find Mary Ann on her front porch sitting on the porch swing listening to music. Mary Ann was a proud member of Van Cleve Community Church where she loved decorating tables for church events.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her parents, Urba and Florence Kaelber, one sister, Marilou Sullivan, and a brother, Robert Simpson.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Tony Wegner (Bryanna), three grandchildren, Alexandra Hughes, and Blake and Conner Wegner, one sister, Wanda Caton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 11th from 11 – 1 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. officiated by Rick Wetnight. Burial will follow at McCullough Zion Cemetery.
