
Eugenia M. “Peggy” Flanagan Parker. 99 years, of Terre Haute, IN passed away on May
11, 2024.
Peggy was born in Terre Haute to John and Elizabeth (Mullen) Flanagan on April 21,
1925. She graduated from Wiley High School in 1943 and worked at Terre Haute First National
Bank after graduation. She retired from General Telephone (GTE) after 23 years. Peggy was a
volunteer at Union Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter Peggy Ann Sullivan of Hawaii; nieces Barbara Sue
Stringer, Mary Lib Sovick, Patty Ann Petrarca, Jeanne Bilyeu, and Susan Decker; nephews Mike
Flanagan and Jim Decker; along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was
cared for by her great niece Molly Crawn. She is also survived by her sister Helen Jo Flanagan.
Peggy leaves behind many close friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings AnnaMary Botts, Marguerite
Flanagan, Evalyn Stringer, Jack Flanagan, Paul Flanagan, and Patty Decker.
Per her wishes there will be no visitation. A private graveside service
will be held in Calvary Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to
the Terre Haute Humane Society, Visiting Nurses Association or Catholic Charities. Special
thanks to Harrison’s Crossing and VNA/Hospice of the Wabash Valley for their care during her
final days. Greiner Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
