TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The business manager of the Vigo County School Corporation is stepping down.
Jay Etling’s letter of resignation was received by the school corporation on Tuesday this week but it says it is to take effect over a month prior on February 5th.
School Corporation policy is to not talk about personnel matters and they aren’t making any exception now.
Etling had been with the corporation since 2002.
The school board will consider Etling’s resignation in its April meeting.
As business manager Etling advised the chief financial officer on matters related to costs and budgets; and he served as project manager for construction projects.
He also supervised the bid process of purchases and requests for price quotations; he also reviewed and supervised the issuance of purchase orders among other duties.
