Terre Haute City Council Approves Rezoning

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Thursday the Terre Haute City Council unanimously approved rezoning to allow construction of up to 78 duplex condominiums on the north side of Poplar Street between Fruitridge Avenue and Adams Boulevard.

The developer and many but not all residents in neighboring Beau Monde subdivision agreed on a series of provisions calling for larger setbacks and a fence between the condos and the subdivision, preserving some trees and adding some sidewalks to the area.

The development will target older residents with units priced in the $165,000 to $220,000 range.
