TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Around 10:00 P.M. Wednesday evening Terre Haute Police officers were called to the 800 block of North 13th Street on the report of an explosion.

While investigating that scene, police and fire personnel heard a loud explosion in the area of the 1500 block of 1st Avenue and saw people run into a home.

Officers say that there are no reported injuries at either location, and officers have been able to persuade several people to exit the 1st Avenue residence.

Police say that there is some initial indication that both explosions may have been caused by some types of fireworks.

Police are continuing their investigation.
