Mistrial Declared In Burglary Case

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – A mistrial has been declared in the case of a Terre Haute man accused of burglary.

Jason Cunningham is accused of breaking into a home earlier this year and faced charges of burglary, residential entry, and theft.

A witnesses in the case testified Tuesday.

The homeowner told police that Cunningham spoke to a five-year-old child who then ran and got help.

The reason for the mistrial was that police officers on the stand mentioned previous criminal history and other warrants for the arrest of Cunningham that existed pertaining to other cases.
