
TERRE HAUTE, Ind – More information has been released about a standoff situation earlier this week at the KFC in North Terre Haute.
Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos reports that 44-year-old Ronnie Arndell died of stab wounds to the chest.
Toxicology testing and reports are pending.
Terre Haute Police were called to the restaurant at Lafayette and Ft. Harrison around 10:00 a.m. Monday.
Everyone fled the building except Arndell who would not come out and was reportedly armed with a pair of scissors.
By 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon police went into the KFC where Orndell was found unresponsive. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said that his injuries were self-inflicted.
