INDIANA – On Monday afternoon Gov. Eric Holcomb called for a statewide coalition to address racial disparities following four days of demonstrations across the state.

Hoosiers across the state joined nationwide protests Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday over the actions of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin who placed his knee on the neck of George Floyd for nearly nine minutes.

Protests caused large amounts of damage in Indianapolis.

Two people were killed.

Indiana State Police were deployed to Fort Wayne, Evansville and other cities across the state.
