
Nathaniel Ray Smith, 43, of Clay City, Indiana passed away in Lewis, Indiana, on June 6, 2020.
Nate was born on April 11, 1977, in Bloomington, Indiana, the son of Dennis Ray and Sue Kay (Keiser) Smith. He graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1995. Nate worked as a welder and construction worker. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and listening to music, playing sports and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Nate was preceded in death by an infant daughter Sierra Smith; grandparents: Jacob and Evelyn Smith and Bill and Norma Keiser.
He is survived by his parents: Dennis and Sue Smith; two daughters Mikayla Smith and fiancé Hunter Sherman of Terre Haute and Alyssa Smith of Clay City; granddaughters: Desiree Sherman and Xavianna Sherman; a brother Aaron William Smith and wife Beverly of Brazil; nieces Abbie Rose Smith, Sara Glen B. Smith, and a nephew Cole Smith; mother of his daughters: Rochelle Smith and two beloved dogs Bruiser and Bean as well as many extended family members and friends.
