Susan Kaye Fortner Rowan, 62, of Brazil went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Brazil. She was born in Indianapolis to Verlin T. and Margaret Jane (Matthews) Fortner.

Susan attended Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis. She took part in the El Shaddai Emmaus Community. She loved to go shopping, spending time with her family and the company of her cat. Susan was a assistant executive director at The House of Hope/Mission Teens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verlin and Margaret Fortner; Her loving husband, Ellis Henry Rowan, Jr; a brother, Bobby Matthews; 2 sisters, Marsha Martin and Helen Wilson.

Survivors include her son, Gregory Rowan and wife, LeAnne; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Hunter Rowan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday June 20, 2020 at Brazil First United Methodist Church, 201 N. Meridian Street, Brazil with Pastor Rick Koch officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of French Funeral Home, Brazil.
