
CARLISLE, Ind – Just before 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, Sullivan County Police and Indiana State Police were called to investigate an alleged shooting that had taken place at a local gas station on Old Highway 41 South near Carlisle.
Investigators say that 59-year-old Faran D. Brown, of Carlisle, was shot shortly after leaving a gas station.
He apparently had an argument in the parking lot with 65-year-old Susan J. Brown, also of Carlisle.
Brown was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Investigators recovered a handgun in the gas station lot.
Brown was arrested for attempted murder and is currently being held in the Sullivan County Jail on $50,000.00 cash bond only.
