Charles Edward Schultz, Sr., 83, died peacefully on July 29, at Exceptional Living Center of Brazil.

He was born on May 11, 1937, to Juanita and Wilburn “Bo” Schultz. He graduated from Brazil High School in 1956. Ed, as he was known, married Virginia Lamb on June 1, 1958. They were married for 62 years. He was 17 and she was 15 when they started dating. During his lifetime he worked at Moore’s Auto Store, Stran Steel, Pepsi plant and Columbia Records. He was drafted into the Army in the early 60’s and served at a Nike site in Northern Indiana. He completed his service by being in the Air Guard for two years. He later became a mailman which he did for 30 years.

Ed loved his family and he and Virginia purchased an older home on East Pinckley which he spent many hours remodeling to create a beautiful home for them. Their yard was where all the neighborhood kids liked to play.

His other love was buying and selling. He loved Croy’s Creek Trade Days and attending or having yard sales. Mention his name and where he lived and everyone knew about his yard sales, his big garage and had been there at one time or another. He loved his wife dearly and loved to take her dancing.

Survivors include his wife Virginia; son Charles E. Schultz Jr.; daughter Beth Noguera (Roberto); granddaughters: Nebula O’Hara (Chris), Andrea Schultz, and Olivia VanAcker; grandson Benjamin Van Acker (Courtney); sisters: Pat Mathas, Judy Winklepleck (Steve) and extended family members.
