Gary W. Long, Jr., 40 of Brazil passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 in Union Hospital. He was born in Brazil on June 21, 1980 to Gary “Jake” W. Long, Sr. and Helen Winn.

Gary attended Brazil High School. Before his accident, he worked for Brazil Roofing and volunteered at Clay County Headstart and Learning Center. Gary was an avid race fan and besides attending races at Lincoln Park Speedway, he parked cars there. Gary enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He
was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Winn; and a brother, Joey Winn.

Survivors include his dad, Gary “Jake” Long, Sr.; a son, Gary W. Long III; 2 daughters, Gail Long II and Kara Long; 3 sisters, Beth Long and fiancé, Frank Cotton, Catlin Long O’Dell and husband, Koty and Grace Long; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2020 at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. Burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery.
