Leanna Rae Thompson, 77, of Clay City, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Good Samaritan Society Retirement Community in Shakamak. She was born on January 24, 1943 in Clay County, Indiana to Raymond and Millie (Funkhouser) Thompson.

Leanna was a 1961 graduate of Clay City High School and was a 30-year dedicated employee in the operations center of First Financial Bank of Terre Haute. For 28 of those years, she never missed a day’s work. Leanna was a loyal and devoted member of Clay City Church of Christ. She loved animals and was very kind and charitable.

Survivors include a cousin, Gary Funkhouser; and a dear friend, Janet Wassel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street, Clay City with Brother Scott Wiley officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled one hour before services in the funeral home.
