
Miriam (Mimi) E. Billman, 96, of Terre Haute died December 4, 2020. She was born September 22, 1924 in Sullivan, Indiana, to Jesse E. and Martha Bell Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Dale C. Billman, Jr.; and two brothers Jesse Jr. and Richard.
Survivors include a daughter Susan Colman (Roger) of Newburgh, Indiana; a son Tom Billman (Linda) of Columbus, Ohio; a sister Susie Wilkey of Venice, Florida; and five grandchildren Scott Colman (Mary) of Hershey, Pennsyvania; Katie Kiernan (Brent) of Fishers, Indiana; Andy Billman of Cheshire, Connecticut; Patrick Billman (Chris) of Columbus, Ohio; and Benji Billman of Denver, Colorado. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren, Drew and Emily Colman; Ella and Mia Kiernan; and Jackson, Cameron, and Carson Billman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Miriam was a longtime resident of Sullivan, Indiana, having lived there for 49 years. She moved to Terre Haute in 1973 and later became a resident of Westminster Village where she resided for many years. Miriam enjoyed many wonderful friendships in both Sullivan and Terre Haute. She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority and P.E.O Sisterhood, Chapter Z. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Sullivan. Miriam enjoyed needlepoint and was known for her beautiful pictures and pillows.
