
Carolyn Monzell Taylor, 79, of Farmersburg passed away in her residence on Monday December 7, 2020. She was born June 21, 1941 in Terre Haute to William Hervey and Mary Louise (Keegan) Jeffers. She married Ronald L. Taylor July 22, 1962 and they shared 58 years together. She was preceded by her parents and a daughter Natasha Lee Taylor. She is survived by her husband, her sister Patty Berry and her husband Allen Berry; brother-in-law Donald Taylor and his wife Mary; sister-in-law Lynn Taylor Robinson; her children Doug and wife Sherry Taylor, Troy and wife Somer Taylor; daughter Dawn and husband Luke Lutz. Her grandchildren are Casey Taylor, Josh Taylor, Brayden Taylor, Sean Taylor, Morgan Loschen and husband Rob, Collin Taylor and wife Brittany, Jacob Kinnaman and Peytan Garrett, Mikayla Hill and husband Travis, Wolfgang Eslinger, Rhiauna Eslinger, Cheyenne Lanahan, Alec Hensley, Sophie Thomas, Olivia Thomas, and Bella Lutz; great-grandchildren Reece McCleary, Dylann McCleary, Mason Taylor, Railynn Taylor, Braislynn LanahanBaylee Lanahan, Bentley Lanahan, Bowen Loschen, Faye Hill, Melody Hill, and Declan Beard. There are several nieces and nephews and a special friend Shannon Marie Cannon. Carolyn was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for 56 years where she was the pianist for over 30 years. She worked at Columbia Records in Terre Haute, then was a transcriptionist at Union Hospital and later as a substitute teacher at North Central High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, traveling, always looked forward to have her children and grandchildren together for every Sunday dinner. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, December 10, 2020 beginning at noon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Pastor Jim Larger will be officiating. Burial will be private in Roselawn Memorial Park. Please observe social distancing and wear a mask while at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
