Wanda Mae Criss, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday December 13, 2020 at Springhill Village with her family by her side. Wanda was born at home in Hymera, IN on December 8, 1928 to William Thomas House and Anna Mae Cottom House. She was a retired Beautician. She was a long time member of New Life Fellowship Church where she began attending in 2010, and before attending New Life Fellowship she had attended Kings Highway Tabernacle for many years. She was an avid reader, she loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved reading the Bible and attending church. The Bible’s Acts 2:38 message was very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Criss, who passed away September 24, 1992 and by a sister, Wilma Trump who passed away in 2009 . She is survived by one son, Scott Criss of Terre Haute and a daughter, Peggy Smothers and her husband Mike of Hymera. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jessie Zink and Angela Gaskins, as well as three great grandchildren–Paisley, Luke and Logan. Services are scheduled for Thursday December 17, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. noon at New Life Fellowship, 7849 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church. Pastor Jeffery Harpole will be officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Hymera, IN.
