Eileen Jean (Pell) McKinney passed away on March 29, 2021, peacefully at her home, in Brazil, Indiana.

She was born on October 26, 1930 the daughter of Melvin and Kathleen (Frost) Pell. Eileen graduated from Van Buren High School in 1948. She married to Robert Joe McKinney on September 11, 1953. She worked at the Fashion Shoppe, Nances Creamery, and as Dr. Pell’s dental assistant. Eileen graduated from Indiana State University with Cum Laude Gold. She graduated with a master’s degree in elementary education. Eileen taught 2nd grade at Shakamak Elementary School in Jasonville, Indiana for many years.

Her hobbies were gardening, raising her baby chicks, cooking, crocheting, sewing, fishing, and camping with her family. She also enjoyed traveling abroad with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Joe McKinney, her parents Melvin Kathleen Pell, her sister Waneta (Pell) Sutton; in-laws Burdett and Pauline McKinney.
Surviving are her children: Vicki McKinney, Jamie McKinney and Trina (McKinney) McCullough and husband Don; grandchildren: Shuree Vaseconez, Shannessy McClure and husband Jonathon, Chase Graverson and wife Devon, Sage Graverson (Todd Shepherd), Tylee Sierra and fiancé Mitch Backs and Tyden Graverson; great-grandchildren: Kai, Auz, Nox, Noa, Max, Cole, Layla, Nora, Eva, Gemma, Dax, Mayli, Cruz, Brecken, and Eila; a sister Mary (Pell) Anderson as well as many extended family members.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on April 2, 2021 from 5-7pm. Services will be at the funeral home, on Saturday, at 1:00pm with Pastor Rick Koch officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
