No Seat Belt And K9 Quick Sniff Leads To Drug Arrest

CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Just before 6:00 p.m.  Monday evening Indiana State Police Master Trooper Todd Brown stopped a pickup on Interstate 70 near the 19-mile marker for a seat belt violation and no license plate.

The driver was 29-year-old Jon D. Pastorius, of Brazil.

Trooper Kyle Halls’ K-9, Barker gave a sniff and after a search police found methamphetamine and 43 hypodermic syringes.

Pastorius was also a habitual traffic violator.

He was arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail on multiple drug and traffic related charges.
