Jayne Louise (Steward) Stephens passed away in her sleep on Thursday. She was loved by many, because of her love for family and others. She was born in Terre Haute on October 4, 1945. She married and they moved to many different places, including Colorado, Robinson, IL, Loraine, OH, and New Jersey. During her time in New Jersey, she took the train to Manhattan and worked, wearing her high heels and Barbra Streisand wig. She was cool. She loved children the most, always talking about them and planning for their birthdays and Christmas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Katie (Criss) Steward, her brothers Joseph Steward, Jimmy Steward, and Earl Steward, her sisters, Marge Steward Doherty and Julia Mae Steward, and two nephews Johnny Joe Doherty and Jeff Otte. She is survived by her daughter Kim Hrubesch (Jeff), her son Keith Stephens (Barbie), grandchildren Marie Bissey, Sean Stephens, Jacob Stephens, and Brianna Stephens. She also had three great-grandchildren, Myra Conger, James Conger, and River Jacob Stephens. She had a special place in her heart for her niece Katie (Shane) Otte Coffey. She was also very close to her nieces Kathy Steward Pallutch (Rob) and Jennifer Allen Bledsoe, and her nephews Greg Steward, Brent Steward and Timothy Skyler Dunigan.

Memorial services for Jayne will be Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4-6 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Cremation will occur later with private services.
