INDIANAPOLIS – A Terre Haute man and former Vigo County School Corporation employee is appealing his conviction and two year prison sentence for his part in a kickback scheme that stole over $100,000 from the school system.

On Tuesday the Court of Apples announced that it would accept and hear Franklin Fennell’s appeal.

Fennell was allowed to self report for federal custody but has not yet turned himself in.

Fennell and his attorney must file a brief that makes his case for an appeal by June 11th.
