HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind – Monday afternoon, around 1:47 p.m., an Indiana State Police Trooper escaped a serious single-vehicle accident with minor injuries on Interstate-70 near the 60-mile marker.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Master Trooper DuJuan Presley-McFadden, a 20-year veteran of the Indiana State Police, was responding to a crash at the 38-mile marker on Interstate-70 in Putnam County. Trooper Presley-McFadden was traveling westbound in his police vehicle, a 2018 Dodge Charger when his car hydroplaned due to water on the road.

Presley-McFadden’s car left the roadway and rolled several times, eventually striking an I-beam of a road sign. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

McFadden was transported to Hendricks County Hospital where he was treated and released for cuts, abrasions, and head injuries. Presley-McFadden was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Indiana State Police are continuing their investigation.
