TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – At tonight’s Terre Haute City Council Meeting a final decision will be made about the Beau Monde property located near Deming Park.

The council will consider rezoning property for Park Place Condominiums.

The condos would be constructed along Poplar Street between Fruitridge Avenue and Adams Boulevard

There are proposals to accommodate concerns of the property owners in nearby Beau Monde subdivision such as a 35-foot setback from the subdivision, planting trees, shrubs and perennials in a buffer zone between the two developments and adding sidewalks along the Adams Boulevard portion of the Beau Monde property line.

Word is that some of those ideas have been agreed to but there is nothing in writing.

It will be up to the city council to decide if the condos are built.
