Vermillion County Police Arrest Two In Perrysville

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 Vermillion County Police were called to 198 Depot St in Perrysville to find a person wanted on an outstanding warrant.

While they were on their way to that location officers received a 9-1-1 call from 36-year-old Amanda Deal of Veedersburg who said that she was being held against her will by 40-year-old Travis Butcher of Perrysville and that he was threatening to harm her.

When officers arrived, they were confronted by Butcher who tried to run back in the house.

Butcher was stopped.

Officers then found Deal hiding in the bathroom of the home.

She was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Fountain County and was taken to the Fountain County Jail.

Butcher was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and false informing. Travis is being held at the Vermillion County jail on a $10000.00 bond with 10%.
