TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – A local animal rescue is looking for help to finish a project that will help horses, ponies and other animals.

Ron Barnett is the Horse Shoe Equine Rescue Director. The facility, located at 7337 East Devonald Avenue, serves many animals like horses, ponies, pigs, goats, alpacas and more.

Barnett says work is almost complete on a barn. Many of the stalls are complete, but they need dirt, and a lot of it to properly build up the floor.

How much dirt do they need?  About six dump truck loads or about 120 tons.

If you can help just contact the Horse Shoe Equine Rescue at their web page here or on Facebook here.
