VIGO COUNTY, Ind – In Vigo County Court a Terre Haute man has been found guilty of rape, criminal confinement, strangulation and domestic battery.
34-year-old Brenton Barnhill pleaded guilty to being a habitual offender yesterday.
Barnhill was arrested back in March after his girlfriend went to the hospital to be treated for multiple serious injuries.
Police discovered that the woman suffered from a pattern of abuse and sexual assault.
Barnhill faces a sentence of up to nearly 40 years when he is sentenced August 8th.
