Police Say Failure To Yield Causes Crash

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind –  Thursday morning around 9:00 a.m. Indiana State Police and Sullivan County emergency agencies were called to a two-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of US 41 at County Road 500 North.

Police say that a car, driven by 78-year-old Samuel Dunfee of Sullivan, was eastbound on CR 500 N and was turning onto US41 and pulled into the path of another car driven by 24 year old Brandy Garretson of Terre Haute.

Samuel Dunfee was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

He was not injured.

His passenger along with Garretson and her passenger were all taken to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
