Brazil Mayor Gives State Of The City Address

 

BRAZIL, Ind. – Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham gave his 8th Annual State of the City Address Tuesday and said that the city has much to be proud of.

Brazil has $2.2 million in the savings account, has made great strides in paving roads, removing dilapidated houses and buildings and there is more to come 2019.

He said that the town has received over $700,000 in grant money to help restore downtown along US40, the plan on completing a new police department headquarters, a veteran’s park will be built at Craig Park, there are plans to begin a neighborhood watch program, and there are plans for a utility expansion program to prepare for growth at the industrial park.

Wyndham also said there are plans to begin an identification and tracking system for autistic children and adults with dementia so that they can be more easily found if they become lost.

The mayor said that Brazil is making great progress and it is being noticed around the state.
