Alleged Threats Lead To Wanted Man

VERMILLION COUNTY, In – Around 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office received a report from an employee at the Hardee’s Restaurant on SR163, that they had received a call warning that a male who was a customer in their restaurant that had made threats to “shoot up” the restaurant.

Officers approached 51 year old Robert A. Brown, of Indianapolis, and arrested him on a felony warrant out of Hancock County.

Deputies were unable to find any evidence to establish that Brown had actually made a threat to the restaurant, he did not have any weapons in his possession and complied during the incident. No local charges were filed.

Brown was taken to the Vermillion County Jail and due to overcrowding of the Jail, he was immediately taken to the Hancock County Jail.
