CAYUGA, Ind – Vermillion County Deputies report that they were called about a resident that had their electric bill go from $300 per month to over $1200 beginning in December of last year.

Officers say that their investigation shows that 41-year-old Billy Loden had run an extension cord from his property on 207 N. Logan in Cayuga, through the yard, buried the cord under the alleyway, and into the yard of his neighbor’s residence. Loden then ran the cord along the fence line and wired the cord directly into the breaker box by his neighbor’s air conditioning unit.

Loden was arrested and is being held on a $10,000.00 bond.
