TERRE HAUTE, Ind – The body of Army Sgt. Christopher Wesley Curry was returned home Monday.

The 23-year-old Curry died May 4 in a non-combat incident while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve in Erbil, Iraq.

He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

The death and the incident are under investigation.

Curry was a 2014 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, and is the son of Michael and Aimee Curry.
