Johnny Coleman Ream

The world lost a good one. He was a man who loved working with wood and building things for friends and family, mowing grass, and watching Westerns on television. He could fix anything, no matter how broken, he found a way to fix it. He was a man who loved to spend time with his family and friends and was known for his infectious laughter. He will be deeply missed by the family he loved so dearly. Johnny Ream passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was born in Brazil on October 23, 1936 to Clarence Albert Ream and Lelah Eva Cottom Ream. Johnny was a home builder and he built several subdivisions in Terre Haute with his father-in-law. Married 64 years on February 22, 2021, Johnny is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Ann Adams Ream; daughters, Sherri Ream of Indianapolis and Penny Ream Hill and husband Jerry of Bono; grandchildren, Rachel Day and husband Steve Scott of Indianapolis, Cole Weathers and Kyle Weathers, both of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Scott, Alyssa Scott, and Leah Scott, all of Indianapolis; sister, Trilby Reagan; sister-in-law, Dora Smith and husband Gary; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl Ream and Bobby Ream; sisters, Betty Crosley and Barbara (Joan) Moore; and a great-grandson, Lucas Scott. A graveside ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Roselawn Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of The Wabash Valley.
