Richard Alvin Behler, 77, passed away May 10, 2021. Richard was born August 22, 1943 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, to Alvin Charles Behler and Joyce LaNell Schaffer Behler. Richard’s leadership skills were employed by Epcot in Disney World and the Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Pa. Richard was a member of the Terre Haute First Church of the Nazarene, where he participated in the choir and Senior Saints. Richard loved the Lord and his family most of all. He loved to travel with his family and make memories. He was very involved with all the activities and events of his children and grandchildren. He always found time to take special trips with his grandkids out to eat. Richard’s amazing smile and laugh will be remembered by those that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Elsie Mae Drakely.

Richard is survived by his wife, Gail Behler (m. 2/12/1966), a son, Richard Behler Jr. (Geno Boney) of New Jersey, daughter, Kerry Dunbar (Richard), grandchildren; Isabella, Noah, and Gabriel Dunbar, along with two nieces and a nephew, and a host of cousins. Cremation has been chosen with a celebration of life on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Terre Haute First Church of the Nazarene, 5pm.
