Gayla Jean Norris, age 78, of West Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on December 1, 2022 at Gibson Family Hospice Center.  She was born on December 4, 1943 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Roy and Mildred Purcell.  She was a 1961 graduate of Honey Creek High School  She married John Leanard Norris on September 29, 1961.  She is survived by her husband John; her 2 children Todd (Vicky) Norris and Rodney Norris; grandchildren Todd (Lacey) Norris Brandy (Jesse) Helton, Katie Norris, and Justin (Taylor) Norris; several great grandchildren; brother Ronald Purcell; sister Janna Purcell Bentz; special cousin Peggy Hanna; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death bu her parents; sister Judy Purcell, and step sister Pat Sickles. Per her wishes, cremation has been chosen and no services will be held.
