TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – A statue has been erected to honor the life and service of fallen detective Greg Ferency who was killed in the line of duty in July of 2021.

The statue was unveiled on Sunday in front of the Terre Haute Police Department Headquarters. The plans for Ferency’s memorial began just after his death. Money has been raised since 2021 by the Wabash Valley Jeep Junkies, who have run a memorial ride annually. The memorial was paid in full through donations.

The statue is only a piece of the memorial for fallen officers outside of the department. The Jeep Junkies will have another ride this month on September 30th.
