Terre Haute, Indiana – Terre Haute Mayor Elect Brandon Sakbun continues to build his team as he is set to take office next month. Tuesday, December 19th, Sakbun announced his appointments for City Attorney and City Controller.
The incoming City Attorney will be Michael Wright. Wright has been practicing law in Terre Haute since 2006. He has been a Public Defender in the Vigo County Juvenile Division and has been the full-time attorney for the Vigo County Commissioners. Sakbun also announced that Terre Haute Deputy Controller Jessica Thome will move into the City Controllers job as the new administration takes over. Thomes earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She has worked as Staff Accountant for the Indiana Welfare Pension Fund and Staff Accountant for Thompson Thrift Construction. She currently serves as the Chief Deputy Controller for the City of Terre Haute.
