Larry Dean McCullough (79) passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 19 th at 2:45
AM at Westridge Healthcare. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife of 48 years
Linda Fay (Davis) McCullough in 2020. He leaves behind two daughters Emily Burnett (late
husband Dan), Angie Grant (Steve Reedy), grandchildren Samuel Grant (Jessica), Christopher
Grant, Ethan Grant, Rachel Grant. Two sisters Loretta Young (late husband David) of
Greencastle and Lisa Spencer (Doug) of Reelsville and several nieces and nephews. He has
entrusted the care of his beloved dog Gracie to his only granddaughter Rachel.
Larry was born to Harold Reece McCullough and Ruth Beaman on February 23 rd , 1944. Growing
up on his father’s farmland near Brazil, IN, Larry was a graduate of Reelsville High School’s
Class of 1962. After participating in some matchmaking from his landlord, he married Linda
Davis on September 16th, 1972. Throughout his life, he worked diligently at Quaker Maid,
Hulman and Company, and finally Lost Creek Elementary School. In his free time, he enjoyed
car shows, yard sales, squirrel watching, and viewing Westerns and Heartland. A longtime
member of First Baptist Church of North Terre Haute and Croys Creek Christian Church early
on in his life, Larry always greeted others with a warm smile and had a knack for making people
laugh.
Special thanks to the staff at Westridge for all the love and good care they gave him. His
Celebration of Life will be at North Terre Haute Christian Church on Feb. 18 th at 4PM. Visitation
will be from 2-4PM.
