Nancy Jane Newman, 76, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on February 2, 2024, in her residence with her loving family by her side.  She was born on December 29, 1947, in Marion, Indiana, to Robert W. McCluskey and Frances Maude (Walker) McCluskey Phalen.  Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Lilly.  Helping others made her happy.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She is survived by her children Yvonne Reed (Danny), Jannie Sebring, Carmen Smith (Kevin), and Edward Newman Jr. (Kerri); grandchildren Stephanie (Jeremy), Danny Lee Jr. (Lexi), Sara, Kevin Lee (Avery), Kody (Gracie), Cloey (Seth), Cassie (Tristen), Dacoda (Brooke), Edward Evans III (Madisyn), Ethan, and Kaleb; great grandchildren Dylan, Abigail, Keaton, Hudson, Jackson, Klayton, Brynlee, Westen, Everlee, and Greyson; brother Richard McCluskey (Liberty); brother and sister-in-law James Newman (Jeannie), Lana McCluskey, and Mary Newman; also several niece and nephews.  Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years Edward E. Newman Sr.; siblings Bill McCluskey, Linda Phillips, Thomasena Sneed (Dave); brother and sister -in laws John Newman and Judy Newman- Brown.  Funeral services are scheduled for February 8, 2024, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00a.m. until service time.
