Louise Marie Kerr, 97, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 8, 1926, in Clinton, to Frank Ernest and Marvel Ruth (Black) Call.

Louise is survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Kerr of Terre Haute and Gina Marie Kerr of Indianapolis; and granddogs, Ralphie, Woody, and Kersey.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph James Kerr; son, Frank James Kerr; and daughter-in-law, Linda Kay Kerr.

Louise worked at the Newport Power Plant and later worked for Columbia Records. She was a longtime, active member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. After retirement, Louise enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She became very active in many organizations, including: Zorah Shrine and Honored Ladies, Rachel Joy Circle Club, Job’s Daughters, Daughters of the Nile, and Terre Haute Women’s Department Club. Louise and Ralph enjoyed camping in their younger days and travelled to Hawaii six times! They cherished each other and are finally reunited in Heaven. Louise will be missed by her granddaughters and her close circle of friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Laura McDonald officiating. Louise will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, or the American Heart Association.
