Margaret Jane Patton, 89, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on February 16, 2024.

Margaret was born on October 19, 1934, the daughter of Marvie P. and Bertha (Stout) Bayer. She graduated from Van Buren High School. Margaret worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance for many years.

Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, watching soap operas, Pacers, Colts and NASCAR, and Dirt Track Racing. Most of all, she enjoyed caring for her family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Marvie and Bertha Bayer.

She is survived by her children: Pennie Griffin, Brad Herrington, and Brian Herrington; grandchildren: Kelsie Latham (Jeremy), Corey Simonson, Lisa Lawson (Adam), Laura Sevier (Shawn), Lucas Herrington, and Jasen Herrington; great-grandchildren: Brendan Crague, Addison Latham, Brielle Simonson, Grayson Simonson, Kylie Lawson, Haylie Lawson, Everlee Lawson, Emmett Sevier, and Max Sevier; great-great-grandchildren: Scarlett and Hattie; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Burial will be held at Clearview Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held at the Knightville Community Center, 9692 N. Knightsville Crawford St. Knightsville, Indiana 47857on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
