Melissa Ann Miller, 83, of Clay City, passed away June 2, 2024 in Hutsonwood, Brazil, IN. Melissa was born December 6, 1940 in Clark County, IL to Dean Kermit Janney and Mary Esther Orr Janney. She was a member of Clay City First Church. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles and loved music. She enjoyed bowling and had been a member of numerous leagues over the years. She enjoyed traveling, and spent many miles traveling in one of their antique cars with her husband Don. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Donald Miller, whom she married June 19, 1965. She is survived by two sons; Robert Alan Miller (Lori) of Clay City, IN, and Timothy Dean Miller (Jo Marie) of San Antonio, TX. She is survived by grandchildren; Joshua David Miller (Shelbi), Jessica Marie Miller (Omar), Kaylee Ann Miller and Samantha Irene Miller. Great grandson Oliver and step great grandchildren, Castiella and Dexter.  as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at Clay City First Church, 610 Washington St. Clay City, IN, 47841 from 4:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Clay City Food Pantry, 243 S.
