Patricia J. Cox, 78, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday July 20, 2023 at Indiana University Health. Patricia was born May 31, 1945 in Buffalo, NY to Francis Whibbs and Jean Reece Whibbs.  She was an avid HAM radio enthusiast and a member of the Bird Club. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She participated as a greeter and volunteered whenever asked. Patty was an avid HAM radio enthusiast, a member of the Bird Club and Retirees Club. She loved animals, especially her sweet cat and four parrots. The family is appreciative for Patty’s dear friends, Tina Bush, Pam and Ray Andrews, Bill and Mary Hilton, Jerry Morman and Father Ron Ashmore.   Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Melvin C. Cox who passed away in 2001. She is survived by two sisters; Susan Kaineg (Thomas) of Seminole, FL. and Christine Hauskins of CO. She is survived by one brother, Francis Whibbs Jr. (Claudia) of Beaufort, SC. Memorial services are Tuesday August 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. noon at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th, Terre Haute, IN 47804, Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
